What is this golf blog all about?

What is this golf blog is all about?

Riverwinds flagstick on the fifth hole in the morning.

The date is November 8th, 2017.

Because this is our first blogpost, so we should properly introduce ourselves. We are the Sunday Golfers; Chris Colman, Chris Pusey, and Thomas Pusey. (Pronounced PEW - ZEE) We have known each other for about five years, but we have been playing golf regularly for about a year. We call ourselves the Sunday Golfers, but we play as often as we can, and wherever possible.

Located out of southern New Jersey, we are trying to play as much golf as we can in our lives, and will review each course we play, and write what each of us thought of it. Because we play almost every week, no matter the weather or condition of the course, we will hopefully have several reviews a month.

All of the content will be our own doing. While we are aware that some blogs and websites like to review courses or rate them, this is mostly for our own enjoyment, so that one day, a couple years from now we will be able to look back and say, "We sure played a lot of golf." Before we head out for another round of golf together.

Lastly, we are always willing to play golf with others. If you live nearby and have a course you believe we would enjoy, let us know. We're always looking for a fourth. Cheers.

Westwood Golf Club

Westwood Golf Club "The harder you work, the luckier you get." - Gary Player (Played on February 19th, 2020) We have been trying to find the inspiration to write about Westwood for a long time now. It has been a course some of us have been playing for over 5 years. However, we never really got around to playing a full 18 holes at Westwood together until recently. So, this review is well overdue. We are going to feature a few photos from our day, as well as some from our rounds over the past few years that we have collected. If you follow us on Instagram (@TheSundayGolfers) you might recognize a few of them. Colman on the par five 1st hole. Thomas teeing off the par five 1st hole. Christopher launching one right down the middle on the par five opener at Westwood. Westwood has the easiest three holes to start a golf course you might ever see. The first hole is a dead straight, 450 yard par five, with only a couple bunkers in front of the green to stop pe

Shore Gate Golf Club

Shore Gate Golf Club "Always make a total effort, even when the odds are against you." - Arnold Palmer (Played on May 12th, 2020) Coronavirus has put a bit of a hitch in our summer plans. When we were not allowed to play golf for a month and a half here in New Jersey, we all had to sit inside and find things to keep our minds occupied as we slowly went insane. Thankfully, our governor finally allowed our courses to open up in the beginning of May, so Colman and Chris decided to take full advantage and play a course we had not yet played. That is how we found ourselves down the shore at Shore Gate Golf Club. Chris Pusey on the opening hole at Shore Gate Golf Club Shore Gate Golf Club has a private club atmosphere, but it is fully open to the public. While the greens were recently aerated which put a bit of a damper on the round, it did not take away from just how outstanding the rest of the course was. The course is tight. Keeping the ball in the fairway is the

The Sunday Golfers Year In Review 2019 Edition

Our 2019 Year In Review "Touch is something you create by hitting a million golf balls." - Lee Trevino While we apologize for the lack of posting on our blog as of late, we have all been very busy to travel around and play new courses in our area together. With work, school, and other engagements, finding the right time get together and play is not easy.  However, that has not stopped us from playing every chance we get. If you would like to see what we have been up to, or just want to check in on some pretty sweet photos we have taken, check us out on our Instagram @TheSundayGolfers. January 26th - We began our year at our local municipal Pitman Golf Course . While it may not be Bethpage Black level of municipal, this course was designed by the same man who designed East Lake Golf Club in Georgia, where they play the Tour Championship every year. It is not the most challenging golf course in the area, but its classic design makes it fun to play every single time we te
